The Libella Foundation will be attending the 2026 Florida’s Training for Emergency Management (FTEM) Symposium, an important statewide event that brings together emergency management professionals, public safety leaders, nonprofit organizations, and community partners dedicated to strengthening disaster preparedness across Florida.

This symposium provides valuable training sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities focused on improving disaster response, mitigation, and community resilience. January 28, 2026

The Libella Foundation was proud to participate in the Florida Emergency Preparedness Conference, where we led a workshop titled “Preparedness for All: Engaging Seniors & Underserved Families.” The session focused on practical strategies to help emergency managers, nonprofits, and community leaders better support vulnerable populations before disasters occur.

During the workshop, we shared real-world tools for building inclusive preparedness programs, including tailored emergency kits, accessible education strategies, and community partnership models that strengthen resilience. The discussion emphasized the importance of collaboration, proactive planning, and ensuring that seniors, families with children, and individuals with access and functional needs are fully included in disaster readiness efforts.

Disasters Expo

March 4 & 5, 2026

The Libella Foundation attended Disasters Expo USA in Miami on March 4–5, one of the nation’s leading events focused on disaster preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery. The expo brought together emergency management professionals, government agencies, nonprofit leaders, and industry experts to share innovative solutions and strengthen collaboration across the disaster management sector.

During the event, our team connected with organizations and partners working to improve community resilience and preparedness. These conversations help advance Libella’s mission to expand inclusive disaster readiness programs and ensure vulnerable populations have access to the resources, education, and support they need before emergencies occur.

The Libella Foundation participated in the 10th Annual Emergency Management Convening held March 4–5, 2026, in Kissimmee, Florida, hosted by Volunteer Florida. This important gathering brought together emergency management professionals, nonprofit partners, and response organizations from across the state to share updates, best practices, and strengthen coordination for disaster preparedness, response, and recovery.

Throughout the convening, participants engaged in discussions focused on collaboration, community resilience, and improving systems that support Floridians before and after disasters. Boca Chamber Community Cookout & Chili Cookoff – Boca Raton

March 7, 2026

The Libella Foundation was proud to serve as a community sponsor at the Boca Chamber Community Cookout & Chili Cookoff on March 7, 2026, held at the YMCA of South Palm Beach County in Boca Raton. The family-friendly event brought together local residents, businesses, and organizations for a day of food, activities, and community connection.

During the event, our team distributed care kits, hygiene kits, and feminine hygiene kits to attendees, helping ensure that essential supplies are accessible to those who may need them. Community outreach events like this allow The Libella Foundation to connect directly with families, raise awareness about disaster preparedness, and provide resources that support health, dignity, and resilience in our community.
